The Technical and Technological Laboratory conducts research on the suitability of various lignocellulose raw materials, including post-consumer wood, various types of industrial waste and annual plants, for the production of wood-based panels. Within the scope of its activity is technological, energy and technical evaluation of technological processes in relation to machines which are already in use, the new ones and the structurally changed ones as well as formulating proposals for making technological or structural changes on the basis of conducted tests and measurements.
In addition, the Laboratory conducts exploratory research on manufacturing new products which base on lignocellulosic materials while reusing other industries waste materials.
The main aim of the research is to develop a technology for producing panels and plastics from materials that currently pose an environmental burden.

technological services related to intervention in the industry businesses with specific needs,
energy measurements of process manufacturing the wood-based panels,
development and implementation of fibreboards manufacturing technology with the use of the effluent-free wet method,
development and implementation of energy-efficient wood pulp production technology,
manufacturing, delivery and overhaul service of energy-saving and very durable continuous mass discharge valves of defibrillator,
modernization of the main defibrillator shaft glands to reduce the amount of sealing water consumption to a few l/min and increase the durability of the seal,
execution and installation of the self-control system for the main engine load (maximum efficiency) of the defibrillator,
execution and installation of a stabilization system for grinding port of defibrillators and refiners, ensuring protection of grinding segments against destructive wear and stable mass grinding,
cooperation in comprehensive modernisation of the RT-70 defibrillators leading to doubling their efficiency with a significant reduction in heat and electricity consumption,
studies on reducing the technological costs of manufacturing fibreboards, chipboards, plywood and other wood-based materials,
carrying out works related to obtaining technical approvals for products made with the use of wood-based panels.
